Mô tả công việc OUCRU’s ten-year vision is to have local, regional and global impact on health by leading a locally-driven research programme on infectious diseases in Southeast Asia. The Unit’s main focus of work is in Typhoid, Dengue, Infections of the Central Nervous System, Influenza, Malaria, Tetanus, Influenza, HIV and Tuberculosis. The Tuberculosis group’s major research interests are improving TB diagnosis and treatment by carrying out clinical trials of new diagnostic tests and therapeutic approaches. We also aim to understand how genetic variations in both host and pathogen influence disease presentations, treatment responses and outcomes. JOB SUMMARY The successful candidate will be a Research Coordinator for Evaluation of New Diagnostics for Active and Incident TB (ENDxTB), a multiple site project. He/she will work with Pham Ngoc Thach (PNT) hospital and District TB Units (DTU) in HCMC and communicate with collaborators in South Africa, the Gambia, Netherlands and USA. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Key responsibilities: · Coordinate logistical, training and reporting tasks in the ENDxTB project. · Contribute to the development of SOPs about data management · Organise, conduct and follow-up site evaluation visits, site initiation visits, routine monitoring and close out visits as per relevant study plan · Motivate and train investigators and site staff to ensure obligations in regards to study timelines · Verify the quality, accuracy, completion and timeliness of data. Completely and efficiently resolve data and audit queries and issues · Adhere to the study protocol and study procedures manual. Comply with the mandatory SOPs agreed for the study · Complete reports accurately and within the specified timelines Key tasks: · Understand the protocol and ensure requirements are implemented in the projects. · Translate study documents (Vietnamese - English – Vietnamese). · Manage logistics for study set up and implementation (eg ethical approvals, import permits, purchasing, IT systems). Organize and take part in protocol and GCP training. · Liaise with the study team and other sites (PNT and DTUs) face-to-face, or by email/social media, and with collaborators in ENDx-TB project. Liaise with research monitoring/audits. · Ensure data is entered accurately and completely by frequent data tracking. · Oversee data cleaning in preparation for analysis. Verify that data entered on the CRFs is complete and consistent with patient clinical notes, known as source data/document verification. · Take notes and write minutes of meetings. Write, file and collate documents as needed. · Follow up the contracts with study sites according to the project agreements. Provide detailed and real-time budgetary reports to PIs (with assistance of finance team). · Oversee progress of studies and liaise with PNT and DTUs. · Track study progress and identify problems. Report to PIs as required. · Other tasks as required. DEPARTMENT Tuberculosis Group LOCATION This post is based in Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. Occasional travel to Hanoi will be required. HOURS OF WORK Full time Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week, extra hours may be required. TENURE This is a 1 year contracted position with possibility of extension to 36 months REPORTING TO Head of Tuberculosis Group Yêu cầu kỹ năng SELECTION CRITERIA Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High level of organizational and record keeping skills Project management training and experience At least 3 years experience as a clinical research associate or research coordinator Degree in Medicine, Science, Public Health or a related field Ability to work independently and see the big picture, yet still focus on detail and produce high quality work PREFERRED CRITERIA Experience in supervising more junior staff members Excellent Vietnamese and English language skills In depth understanding of ICH-GCP Familiarity with computer systems particularly MS office, electronic data capture and project management systems Experience of working in a Medical Research Institution BENEFITS · Contracted salary: Negotiable (depending on actual experience and education). · Optional insurance: In-patient and out-patient medical coverage; Personal accident insurance coverage · Two months’ salary for annual bonus and clothes · Annual leave 18 days each year for the first year, a maximum of 30 days · Other responsibilities and benefits are based on Viet Nam Labor Law.
